Malgorzata: Police in Poland say suspect has been identified

POLICE in Poland have identified a suspect in the Malgorzata Wnuczek murder investigation, an inquest has revealed.

The 27-year-old mum disappeared in Leicester in 2006, and her remains were found in October of this year, buried in a shallow grave in woodland near the Freeman's Meadows neighbourhood in the city.

An inquest into her death was opened at Leicester Town Hall by the city's senior coroner, Professor Catherine Mason, yesterday morning.

She opened and adjourned the inquest until any criminal cases are resolved. She said there would be a meeting between police and prose cutors from both countries to decide whether to prosecute the suspect and whether the case should be dealt with in Poland or England.

The remains were found in a "shallow grave" during the police search, which had been based on information from Polish police;
