FAMILY’S HORRIFIC ORDEAL AS PET KILLED IN XL BULLY ATTACK

A FAMILY has been left devastated after their toy poodle was mauled to death by an XL bully.

Adam Ellis had been walking Lambert near Belvoir Drive in Aylestone, Leicester, just around the corner from his home, when the dog leapt over a fence and grabbed his pet poodle.

Mr Ellis, 47, kicked and hit the XL bully and he was dragged off his feet and into the road by the dog.

He suffered cuts and bruises as he struggled with the animal but ‘was unable to save Lambert.

His wife Kathryn said she was horrified at seeing him come back with a dead Lambert in his arms, soaked in blood.

She said: “My husband had been walking home and was just around the corner when the dog jumped over a fence, which wasn’t very high, and came from behind, grabbed our dog and pulled my 17-stone husband into the road.

“He was kicking and punching the dog.

“An off-duty police officer was coming by and helped.
