Fuchs keen for loanees to remain with Exiles

CHRISTIAN Fuchs has contacted Leicester City in his bid to keep the “crucial” Sammy Braybrooke and Nathan Opoku at his new club Newport County.

Former City favourite Fuchs said he “will do everything” to ensure the pair remain at Rodney Parade beyond the end of December, when their loan deals are currently due to expire.

Braybrooke has received high praise for his displays, with many Newport fans feeling the midfielder will be decisive in their attempt to get off the bottom of the League Two table and keep themselves in the EFL.
