PUSHED OUT OF ONE STORE, THEY THEN LEFT ANOTHER SHOPKEEPER 'DISTRAUGHT'
A PAIR of drug-addicted cousins were pushed out of a convenience store after they threatened the staff with a knife in order to steal cigarettes.
The pair were then driven to a second shop six miles away in Leicester, where Luke Walker and Owen Redshaw successfully forced the “distraught” shopkeeper to allow them to steal from her store.
The incident began when the pair arrived in a red car outside the Select Convenience Store in Croft Road, Cosby, at 9.06am on January 16.
Both men were wearing masks and hoods. Redshaw rushed in first and went straight behind the unmanned counter.
The store owner saw him enter via the CCTV screens from the back office and rushed out to confront Redshaw.
Meanwhile, Walker entered behind his cousin and pulled out a long knife. But the shopkeeper, assisted by a woman who worked at the store, pushed them out after a short struggle behind the counter.
