Cifuentes: I'm not wasting energy on the club's PSR case

MARTI Cifuentes is pushing talk of a potential points deduction to one side as Leicester City fight their case over alleged breaches of Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

A hearing over three charges brought by the Premier League against City reportedly began last week and, if held up, the club could be punished with a points deduction.

With the form on the pitch leaving City in the bottom half, any loss of points could drag them down into a relegation battle.

Cifuentes said he has no control over the situation and so argued it makes little sense for him to put any energy into what the result might be.

All he knows is that he can see City working hard behind the scenes to ensure they emerge from the saga in the best place possible.

"It's something we try not to pay too much attention to because we cannot control it," Cifuentes said.

"We are aware and the club is keeping up the communication with us if there is anything new.
