Cars gear up for Circuit Rally at Donington Park

DONINGTON Park will echo to the sound of 101 rally cars doing battle in round three of the 2025/26 Circuit Rally Championship on Sunday

The battle for overall victory is expected to be between defending champions Michael Igoe/Will Atkins’ Citroen C3 Rally 2 and Dukeries’ own John Griffiths/Emma Morrison in their Skoda Fabia R5, who are former champions.

Ex-British GT racer Igoe currently leads the championship with Griffiths nine points down in third place.

Last year it was Griffiths that took the victory spoils, but in the last round at Cadwell Park Griffiths was badly baulked on the opening stage, which proved decisive.

John Stone/Harry Walshaw start at number three in their VW Polo R5 Gti. Third in last year’s rally, Stone finished in the same position at Cadwell.

Sean/Colin Quigley will be making their championship seasonal debut at Donington in their Fiesta Rally 2, having missed the opening two rounds. They were fourth best in 2024.

Starting fifth are brother and sister combo Josh/Tamsyn Davey.
