To mark Water Saving Week, Severn Trent has joined forces with Waterwise to share simple water-saving tips that can help protect our precious resources and even lower your bills if you have a smart meter.

Founded by Waterwise in 2015, Water Saving Week aims to spark conversations about water efficiency and, most importantly, inspire action at home, at work, and in our communities.

This year’s theme is all about becoming ‘Water Heroes’ - by building easy water-saving habits into our daily lives.

Even small changes can make a big difference when we all do our part.

Why it matters

This March was the driest in 60 years, followed by the sunniest April on record, and with May continuing to be warm, it means there's less water in rivers and reservoirs.
