Amazon grant helps game design course

MONEY from Amazon has been awarded to a charity to help expand a games design programme that helps create career opportunities.

Pedestrian was awarded a £15,000 grant from the retailer's Regional Creatives Fund, launched to support 16 to 19-year-olds from underserved communities in Leicestershire.

The funding will support the development of skills and accessibility to career pathways in gaming.

Pedestrian annually provides outreach and training to 2,000 children and young people up to the age of 25 who are at risk, who are often socially excluded, in challenging circumstances and experiencing disadvantages.
