A MID-SUMMER celebration of the arts returns to East Surrey this weekend with the Reigate Summer Festival.
-
Run for the first time last year, the popular event is back on Saturday and Sunday.
The vibrant festival will showcase live music, drama, dance, film, literature, comedy, art, cultural history, fashion and creative workshops. Most are completely free.
And there are plans to make the festival an even bigger and better celebration of the arts, with a Crowdfunder appeal aiming to expand it further in the future.
For this year's offering, there will be four stages around town hosting a wide selection of live music, from jazz, choir, soul and funk to college guitar ensembles and orchestras.
A spokesman said: “This year, Reigate’s Summer Festival really has something for everyone to enjoy.
“Whatever you love, however you like to get involved, there’s an opportunity to watch and learn or immerse yourself in a creative way that inspires you.”
The stages will be in Tunnel Road, and at The Clocktower, Cage Yard and Reigate Methodist Church.
