Experience is key for Selley

IAN SELLEY has made seven new signings and isn't ruling out more after Leatherhead fell short of their target in 2024-25.

Selley arrived at Fetcham Grove in May 2024, taking over from Hayden Bird after the Tanners had just missed out on promotion via the Isthmian League South Central play-offs. The plan was another promotion push in 2024-25 but the Mole Valley outfit fell just short, finishing eighth.

But Selley insists a year after taking the reins, the Tanners are in a "million times better position" than they were last summer.

"This time last year we had I think three players that remained from Hayden's squad," Selley explained. "So obviously we had to do a bit of a rebuilding job. I think it's been a positive season, last season, but obviously we fell short of getting in the play-offs.
