Youngsters rising fast to Elite level against champs

Elite A's kids are all right, as they beat the defending champions New Meadow Street B 5-2 at home in the Preston and District Summer Snooker League Division One.
Fourteen-year-old Jackson Pope was again in outstanding form, hitting a break of 35 in his 92-44 win and also moved to No.1 in the merit standings with five wins out of six games.
He was backed up by 12-year-old Jack Sutton who won both his games.
In the first frame he won 77-34, which included a 29 break, and he won the second 69-36.
There was also a good victory for 13-year-old Jack Wilding who won 60-32. Brownedge enjoyed a good night with a 5-2 win at second-place Elite B.
