Trying to find some warmth in this cold and chaotic autumn

This week I have mainly been cold. So much for transitioning gently into autumn. It is looking like we skipped the beautiful golden season and went straight into soggy winter.

But I am NOT ready. It's a good job I never got round to packing away my woolly jumpers though. Thick socks, fleecy jogging pants, and woolly jumpers are my at home wear, as I try desperately to resist putting on the heating. Also, this weekend, I felt able to dig out and wear the last pair of the slippers that my mum gave me on her final Christmas on this beautiful planet. I had asked her for five pairs of slippers to keep me going until Christmas 2022, and she did just that. Bless that woman.
