The best and worst of humanity on view at sea and up in the skies
Lancashire Evening Post
|November 14, 2025
The last two weeks has shown the absolute best & worst of humanity. We've just landed home from two weeks on Arvia.
As seasoned cruisers - this one has been a shock.
The best - we saw the most kind, and compassionate people... who cared when we lost a crew member - and donated for his funeral.
Then we had the worst - people who moaned, because we had to divert for a 'life or death' situation.
On our flight back... our family experienced a new low. My father has dementia and Alzheimer's - we repeatedly cruise on Arvia, because he has some recollection of the ship. We wanted him to experience the Caribbean - for the first time in his life... before it's too late.
