A stretch of one of Preston's previously most bustling sections of high streets is finally to see work start almost two years later than planned.
What Friargate South could look like post-revamp
Friargate South - which runs from the Flag Market to Ringway - is due for multi-million pound street works to try touplift it.
Currently, there are 17 empty shops in a 200m stretch clustered around the St George's Shopping Centre and former Wilkos store area.
