Red Rose are now aiming for repeat successes as chief hails progression
Lancashire Evening Post
|September 09, 2025
David Thorley says Lancashire are building towards something special and that "repeatable success" is the next step on the county's journey after their early-summer T20 triumph.
The Red Rose county's director of women's cricket has been reflecting on the Vitality County T20 Cup triumph in late May and its impact on their development.
And he is also looking ahead to the final few weeks of a summer which could bring more glory. Lancashire are currently third in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup standings with eight wins from 12 games and assured of semifinal qualification with two to play, having beaten fellow challengers Surrey at Beckenham on Sunday.
The first of those remaining fixtures is against Bears at Sale tomorrow (10.30am), before they travel to face league leaders Hampshire on Saturday.
They are very much in the hunt for a top-two finish and a home semifinal next week, just one point behind The Blaze with a possible 10 still available.
