Paedophile lied to police about 'decoy' phone

A convicted paedophile used a “decoy” phone to hide his illegal involvement in sex chats online, a court heard.

Michael Clarkson showed the “backup” Apple iPhone to police officers when they made a routine visit to his home to check he was obeying the conditions of a court order restricting his use of the internet.

But a judge in Preston was told he had a second phone hidden in the property, which he used to access sites he was prohibited from visiting.
