MP secures meeting with minister over 'disruptive' crash chaos on M6

Frustrations over the state of the M6 at Preston sees pressure continue to build for action by the Secretary of Transport.
Ribble Valley MP Maya Ellis, who has a large chunk of Preston and some of South Ribble within her constituency, has secured a commitment from Heidi Alexander to meet and discuss the section of the M6 near the city.
The Labour MP's intervention came after a lorry fire on the M6 southbound between Junction 31 and the M61 junction caused significant bottlenecks for around 10 hours around the city.
