A spokesperson for Lancashire's Integrated Care Board (ICB) said the Station Surgery needed to move from its Golden Hill Lane base, as the site was 'unfit' for purpose.

The spokesperson added that the proposed site for as replacement surgery, in the former NatWest branch nearby, “would require significant investment.
“Station Surgery relocated from its former premises on Golden Hill Lane to West Paddock in February 2021,” the spokesperson added. “This move was necessary because the previous site was deemed unfit for the delivery of clinical services.
