Joyful weekend writing retreat was inspiring and nourishing

This week I have mainly been pondering how, despite always thoroughly checking all pockets and sleeves, far too often when I put on a dark wash there is always a tissue in there, which means that I then have to wash that load all over again, or wear clothes covered in little white bits.

In addition to those ponderings, I have been wallowing in the afterglow of the most magnificent writer retreat weekend at Quernmore Park Hall. Had anyone told little Jane Binnion that as an adult she would not only take part in a weekend writers retreat, but it would be in a Georgian mansion with a woolly mammoth skeleton in what I would call the living room, but there it is known as the mammoth room, she would have been wide eyed with disbelief.
