Step into the spirit of Oasis with a scenic park walk
Next week Oasis will be returning to their home city Manchester to perform on five dates from 11th - 20th July. It is a keenly anticipated event by one of the most successful rock bands in history.
As of 2022 they had sold over 70 million records worldwide. Formed at the beginning of the 1990s during the Brit-pop era their music became the soundtrack of a generation of youth growing up in the post Thatcher years with a distinctive style that set them apart from other British rock bands. Fronted by brothers Noel (b.1967) and Liam Gallagher (b.1972) their success has come at a price which at times has led to acrimonious splits.
The Manchester dates will take part in Heaton Park the biggest municipal park in Europe. Fans unable to obtain tickets or perhaps unable to afford tickets (£198 on the group's official website) might console themselves with a walk in Heaton Park.
