Finishing line in sight for the sale of the Shrimps?

Morecambe's board has said a proposed takeover of the club seems one step nearer to being completed.
Today marks the 1,000-day anniversary of the Shrimps' owner, Bond Group Investments, announcing in September 2022 that the club was up for sale.
In that time, the club has dropped from League One to the National League amid frustration at Bond Group's inability to complete a sale.
After apparent interest from Sarbjot Johal came to nothing, Panjab Warriors have sought to complete a takeover after confirming a desire to buy the club last November.
