Don't become one of world's news avoiders

It is almost two years since the BBC's former political editor Nick Robinson launched an attack on what he called 'news avoiders'.
The comments came after his flagship BBC Radio 4 Today programme recorded a loss of more than 1m listeners in a year.
The slump was, according to Robinson, due to an increasing number of people "who don't want to face the world's problems".
At the time he said: "People just want to avoid the news. Market research literally calls them 'news avoiders'.
"We will all know people who think 'I just can't face the world any more."
