Chicken factory's final warning to stop rule breaches

A chicken factory which has been breaking its permitted operating hours for years has been put on notice by Preston Council.
Residents living near Gafoor Poultry Products' site in Fletcher Road, Deepdale, say their lives have been 'blighted' by early-morning and late-night deliveries and operations at the factory.
The factory operators had applied earlier this year to scrap its operating conditions, which are supposed to halt Sunday, Bank Holiday and early-morning and late-night working.
Gafoor claimed because they had been breaching the planning condition for so long it should be null and void.
