Lancashire Evening Post

February 25, 2026

Witnesses to the attack, in March last year, described seeing Jacob Hill stamping on Gary Carlisle's head more than 10 times while he lay in the street in a pool of blood.

A bus passenger who saw the attack and bravely intervened in an attempt to stop the attack was headbutted and suffered a cut to her nose, which required hospital treatment.
