Ashton nursery told to improve across the board

A nursery in Preston has been told it must improve across the board after an inspection last month.

Busy Bees Day Nursery at Ashton House, on Ashton Park, was inspected on 8 May and told that it requires improvement in every scored area.

The visit by Ofsted found that leaders have failed to address recommendations made at a previous inspection that better systems be put in place to ensure staff supervision. Staff are unsure what mandatory training they have completed, do not always get permission from parents for non-prescribed creams or moisturisers, and parts of the children’s routine are not always well-organised, which can disrupt engagement.
