Acclaimed artist Sally Dyer is set to launch a new arts program at Preston's Chew's Yard.
Preston-based Sally, who was a semi-finalist in Sky Arts’ Portrait Artist of the Year competition, kicks-off her new portrait painting workshop on Sunday.
The hands-on Heritage Portraits with Artist Sally Dyer session will see Sally helping participants discover the art of portrait painting and create an original A4 canvas acrylic painting of a loved one. No prior experience is necessary.
Since graduating, Sally's practice has explored heritage. Her grandfather was one of the first West Indians to make a home for himself in Preston, with many of her works featuring his image.
