June 2, 2025 will go down as a dark day in recent UK history, being the day our vacuous Prime Minster, Sir Keir Starmer, declared his governing Labour Party to be the party of "War and Poverty".
Despite the UK being the sixth largest military spender globally in 2024, at US $81.1 billion, representing 2.3 per cent of GDP, Starmer confirmed his commitment to raising military spending to 2.5 per cent of GDP by April 2027, with the aim of reaching a target of three per cent of GDP over the next 10 years.
Allied to this Starmer unveiled plans to build at least six new arms factories in the UK, 12 new attack submarines, whilst investing £15 billion in new nuclear arms, claiming that such expenditure would give a much needed Keynesian boost to the economy.
