Whitehead in the running for national Cllr Award

A THANET district councillor has been recognised for her outstanding work, earning a place on the shortlist for the "Innovator of the Year" title in the national Cllr Awards.

Cllr Helen Whitehead of is one of a select few nominated in the prestigious annual awards, which are organised by the Local Government Information Unit (LGIU) to celebrate the vital contributions of councillors across the country.

She was shortlisted based on her work to increase in-house temporary accommodation, as well as the new acquisitions programme and a multi-agency initiative for rough sleepers.
