Dustin slams RTE over axing 2020 reboot of iconic show
DUSTIN the Turkey has hit out at RTE for axing The Den's reboot.
The talking turkey returned to our screens with host Ray D'Arcy and Zig and Zag for a return of the iconic show in 2020.
However, the show was axed and did not return in 2022.
Dustin opened up about his hurt at being told to get stuffed, saying: "The Den was great when it came back but it was one of those things where people were enjoying it so RTE said, 'no we're not having that'.
"I loved being back with Zig and Zag and it's good to see Ray [D'Arcy] actually being good at television again.
"I really miss his chat show. That was great because Saturday night if I had trouble sleeping, five minutes of him and I'd nod off."
