Toll of missing Irish children and adults as gardai investigate

GARDAI have confirmed they are actively investigating 906 cases of missing people in Ireland.

This includes Dundalk mum Mandy Kelly's two sons Zayn, seven, and four-year-old Kareem kidnapped by their father in Egypt, Mary Boyle, seven, missing in Donegal, plus teenager Amy Fitzpatrick, 15, who vanished in Spain on New Year's Day 2008.

The list also includes Deirdre Jacob, Jo Jo Dullard, Ciara Breen, Fiona Synnott plus at least three Irish citizens who disappeared while living in America over the years.

Kildare businessman John Rowan vanished in Florida in February 2001, while Cavan man Hugh Nolan disappeared near his home in San Francisco, after withdrawing $500 dollars from a bank in April 1994.
