They took our phones & gadgets away... it was like rehab but cheaper

THE stars taking part in The Celebrity Traitors have been sworn to secrecy about what went on at the Scottish castle.

But while the tactic has so far worked with the regular version of the BBC show, the celebs are finding it harder to hold their tongues about its much anticipated return this autumn.

Comedian Alan Carr admitted he was taken aback by having a digital detox forced upon him while filming.

During one of his podcasts, he said: “It was like rehab. It's cheaper than rehab. They took my phone away. They took my laptop.

“When I got the phone back I was like, ‘sh***’. Now I get a lot of spam but I was like, ‘2,000 emails? Oh my god!’ and you start thinking, ‘My mum and dad aren't well’ but then it's like, ‘Hi. Do you want to buy a freezer?”

And the Chatty Man teased TV chiefs who had told him not to breathe a word about what happened on the show before it gets broadcast.

He joked he had shared some secrets with a certain footballer's wife who was caught up in the Wagatha Christie scandal with Coleen Rooney.
