City and Liverpool are coming for high-flying Gunners
THE Premier League's biggest rivalry of the last decade takes centre stage again tomorrow.
Manchester City and Liverpool have both had strong weeks — and they must be fuming at the lazy assumption from bookies that Arsenal have already wrapped up the Premier League title.
Let's get real, the final round of games is still 198 days away. That's an eternity in football.
It only takes a second to score a goal, a minute to change a game, and one bad day to transform a title race. Arsenal fans would do well to remember that.
The Premier League is a marathon, not a sprint.
Yet Arsenal's swagger right now feels a touch smug — and that's dangerous. Yes, they've been the best side so far, but complacency is the enemy of success.
Tonight, they travel to newly promoted Sunderland expecting to another routine win. They do so while City and Liverpool battle each other at the Etihad tomorrow — meaning one or both will drop points.
Confidence is sky-high after ten straight wins, including a Champions League triumph over Slavia Prague, where 15-year-old Max Dowman became the youngest player in competition history.
