Experts offer top advice for exams
-
AROUND 130, 000 students are getting ready to sit their Junior and Leaving Certificate exams tomorrow.
It's a stressful time, as - after all the months of study - the pressure is on to perform well on the day itself.
So how do you make the most of the days before and during the exams?
The professionals at Studyclix, Ireland's leading online educational resource, have the answers.
Here, co-founder Luke Saunders and study expert Eimear Dinneen give their advice on how to navigate the days before and during the exams
WRITE down a quick plan of what you're going to do and only focus on the subject(s) you have on the following day.
Go over key information on each topic using flashcards, past papers and marking schemes or revision books.
Do not waste time reading over long paragraphs in textbooks or notes. Focus on what is likely to appear on your exam.
A lot of students tend to stay up really late the night before an exam, desperately trying to cram every last piece of information they can.
Sleep is crucial for concentration and productivity, so try to get seven hours sleep minimum the night before an exam.
