KATIE TAYLOR could be next in line for American contender Samantha Worthington after she secured the WBA interim super-lightweight title in Detroit last month.
The 29-year-old’s majority decision victory over Victoire Piteau not only extended her unbeaten record to 12 victories but put her on the verge of a mandatory title shot at Taylor's WBA super-lightweight title, which she retained with her trilogy bout victory over Amanda Serrano.
The Bray boxer overcame her Puerto Rican opponent for a record third time on July 11, securing another thrilling points win in their undisputed world title clash.
