The Construction Federation of Ireland has welcomed increased funding in the Budget for water, energy and transport infrastructure.
The federation’s chief Andrew Brownlee said he the move was encouraging because 50,000 homes a year cannot be built without water, energy and transport infrastructure.
He said builders need to see a tangible pipeline of projects so they can plan their workforce needs to be in a position to respond. He added that he welcomed the measure in relation to VAT reduction on apartment building.
