SHANKEY: DEISE NEED TO INSPIRE

The Meath All-Ireland winner and Waterford manager accepts there will always be a turnover of players, but he believes progress is being made in a county where hurling comes first.

"Any player at the moment, everyone wants to be a Waterford hurler - that's the reality," said Shankey, speaking ahead of Saturday's Munster quarter-final against Tipperary at Semple Stadium (6pm).
