GALWAY DJ and producer Shampain has dropped his debut mixtape, Catching Up With Myself.

The multi-genre DJ, who has hosted a show on TG4 and co-runs a barber shop called Poblacht Barbershop in Galway, released the five-track a fortnight ago, the first of two more projects set to come down the line.

His new EP started with the track Repetitive Brain Injury, and after an immense reception for the tune at a club in China, Shampain, the stage name of Coili Collins, was spurred on to create more tracks.

“I actually started off with Repetitive Brain Injury,” he told The Scene. “And I was going to put that out as a single, and actually, the little guy on the front of the artwork was drawn by somebody in the club in Shenzhen.
