ROSS MCCRORIE admits he picked the perfect moment to break his Ashton Gate duck.

The wing-back set Bristol City on course for the win that lifted Liam Manning's side into the top six with six games remaining.

And McCrorie (celebrating his goal, above) revealed he has been working overtime to boost his goal-threat and was relieved to see his efforts finally rewarded.

The 27-year-old said: "It was my first goal at Ashton Gate which is brilliant.

"I've been trying to add goals to my game by getting to that back post, especially from that wing-back position. So I'm really happy.
