Report shows Irish nightclubs are in danger of extinction

It consulted more than 3,000 people online for its new report called The Rhythm Of The Night.

The report, authored by Mr Sharpe and Ciara Power, is the first in-depth nightclub industry overview in over 15 years, with 76% of the respondents aged between 18 and 34 and drawn from 49 nationalities.

Some 90% said they believe every community should have access to a local nightclub or dance venue.

And 84% said that "more flexible licensing laws would increase the diversity of venues and events at night".
