'Proud' BBC boss tells staff to 'fight'

OUTGOING BBC boss Tim Davie shrugged off Donald Trump's $1billion legal threat, called on his staff "to fight" - and insisted he has "no regrets".

He said the Beeb will be "thriving" in future despite the huge lawsuit now hanging over its head. He added it had "enemies" but workers should stay strong through "difficult times".
The quitting leader used the word "proud" more than a dozen times as he spoke to staff.
