Mullins (below), who is now 1/6 with Ladbrokes to retain his crown, sends horses to Plumpton for their big Sussex Champions Hurdle meeting.
And among them could be County Hurdle heroine Kargese, who was an impressive winner at the Cheltenham Festival last month.
Dan Skelton had been a very short price to win his first champiobship but an incredible 1,2,3 in the Grand National at Aintree and 1,2 in the Scottish Grand National at Ayr last weekend, has saw Mullins reduce his lead to just over £1,000.
