Reed's up to the challenge, sparking Stags party

PITCH PERFECT PEER PRESSURE

KING LOUIS Reed is mobbed by his delighted Stags team-mates

CAPTAIN marvel, Louis Reed, revealed his teammates turned up the heat on him seconds before his dream winner sent Mansfield to a shock win at Burnley.

Reed's magnificently-struck 25-yard free-kick 10 minutes from time capped a comeback win for the League One side at the Premier League Clarets.

It also sent the Stags into round five of the FA Cup for the first time since 1975.

Reed knew he could deliver after plotting a goal like that all week but fellow Stags, Regan Hendry and Stephen McLaughlin, challenged him to prove it.

Skipper Reed said: "I kind of knew, as soon as it got over the wall, it was going to take an incredible save to stop it. It was the perfect distance for me. I had been working on them since the start of the week in training, and as soon as the ref gave it, Regan and Macca came over and said, 'This is the perfect spot for you.' Thankfully, with a bit of added pressure from them, I put it in.
