PENNEYS FASHIONS A SUSTAINABLE ETHOS

THE brand behind one of Ireland's best loved fast fashion chains, Penneys, is insisting its customers shouldn't have to choose between sustainability and value for money.

Primark has said it is switching more of its clothes than ever to eco-friendly materials and has vowed to put people as well as the planet at the centre of its efforts.

As of the latest update, an impressive 74% of Primark's clothing is now made from recycled or better-sourced fibres - way up from last year's 66%.

Nearly 39% of their gear includes recycled materials, as they try to show they're serious about cutting down on waste and helping the planet in an era of corporate greenwashing.
