PATRICK DORGU says Manchester United have returned to the club's attacking heritage and put last season's failings behind them.

Dorgu was United's standout player in their 4-1 win over Bournemouth in the Premier League Summer Series, setting up the opener and scoring the second in an all-action display from the defender.

Signed in January for £25million, Dorgu looks to have cemented his status as Ruben Amorim's first-choice left wing-back with his rampaging runs and attacking threat.

And the 20-year-old is confident United will hit the ground running when the new campaign starts and surprise those who expect them to fall short again.
