MIKEL ARTETA must find the missing link next season or Arsenal could be back in the same boat next May.

It's not the only thing wrong with them - but their biggest issue has been staring Arteta in the face all season.

And it couldn't have been more obvious, despite Martin Odegaard hitting a late winner after Ross Stewart cancelled out Kieran Tierney's opener.

Victory meant the Gunners finished 15 points worse off than last season, having scored 22 fewer goals.

And Arteta simply has to find a reliable frontman next season or you can only see Arsenal's long wait for a championship continuing.

Their top Premier League scorer this time around was Kai Havertz with nine, which is just not good enough if you want to win the title.

In fact, this is the first time Arsenal have finished a league season without a player reaching double figures since 1924.
