McCabe's tribute to late Beard

IRELAND captain Katie McCabe has paid tribute to Matt Beard, following the announcement of the former Liverpool and West Ham Women's manager's death on Saturday, aged 47.
Beard signed McCabe's Ireland teammate Leanne Kiernan while in charge of both the Hammers and Liverpool, and Kiernan was a key player in their 2022 promotion back to the Women's Super League.
Champions League winning Arsenal star McCabe posted on X: "One of the great guys in football who touched so many hearts. Sending all the love to his family at this time.”
Tributes poured in from across the footballing spectrum, after Beard’s wife Deb posted:
