IT DOZEN GET MUCH BETTER FOR THE DEISE
Irish Daily Star
|June 30, 2025
WATERFORD battered Clare at Semple Stadium on Saturday to earn a first All-Ireland minor hurling title in 12 years.
In front of 16,411 supporters, the Déise led from start to finish to claim their fourth title.
Waterford got off to a flier. With just over a minute gone, Dylan Murphy ran onto a free from keeper James Comerford and found Pierce Quann, who finished low to the net. A Cormac Spain free and a Shane Power point made it 1-2 to 0-0.
At the other end, Darragh Keane blocked down a Liam Murphy attempt at goal before Paul Rodgers converted a Clare free. Keane started impressively at corner back for Waterford and set up a score for Éanna McHugh.
