INAMURA CAN HIT THE HAYAT-S FOR THE BHOYS

LUKE MCCOWAN reckons Celtic new boy Hayato Inamura can hit the ground running with the club.

The Japanese defender was a surprise smash hit on debut in Tuesday's 2-1 friendly win against Cork City.

Manager Brendan Rodgers admitted he may rip up his initial plan to send the centre-back out on loan.

Inamura has also made an impression in the Celtic dressing room.

McCowan said: 'He's possibly played a full season over in Japan before joining.

"So, that's what you want to see. If he's just finished a full season then you want to see him playing like that.

"It's his first game for Celtic. He's got the translator here who is helping him a bunch. It's nice to see him playing with a bit of confidence.

"He's also a nice person, so good luck to him here."
