HEUNG-MIN SON has revealed how emotional videos from the families of Tottenham's players helped inspire their victory in the Europa League final.

At a team meeting at their Bilbao hotel ahead of the showdown with Manchester United, the players sat and watched good luck messages from their loved ones.

Spurs skipper Son explained how the move - the brainchild of boss Ange Postecoglou - served to motivate and inspire the players to land the club's first trophy for 17 years. Son (celebrating Tottenham's triumph, far right) said: "There should be some secrets but, look, family is all we care about. It's the most important thing in my life.

"Their commitment, their love from day one. Since I started football, my family was always there.

"When I watched the videos from family members I was getting emotional. I desperately wanted to win. Not because of me, I just wanted to win for the family.
