Homeless stats 'not acceptable'

THE Government has "thrown the kitchen sink" at the homeless crisis in an attempt to address it, a minister of state has said.
Christopher O'Sullivan added it has been a really "difficult challenge to tackle", but it is a priority for the Housing Minister.
His comments come as the latest stats show there are almost 5,000 homeless children in Ireland.
A total of 15,747 are now in emergency accommodation during the last week of May - 10,903 adults and 4,844 kids.
